Exactly what I was thinking. Shouldn't the OP have said Waves holds up pretty well compared to the G1176, instead of the other way around?

I hear you, I hear you : but the result is IMO far more dramatic than the test Mark posted.
I swear my initial test was even more evident.Blame it on a dusty patchbay or whatever.


To canidoit, okgb, Neil and the rest of the gang : this was not a plugin vs hardware debate, I only was surprised how good the G rev0 sounded. That's why you have to take the hiss with the samples  8)
