Hey guys, hope this is the right place to post this.
I have a original La-610 with a metering issue. When on output or preamp the meter reads ok but a little low. When on comp mode it doesn’t work at all. I think I hear it compress(the level goes down) but the meter doesn’t read.
I read a post on gear space who said they “replaced TL074CN”. Is this something I can do to fix myself? I’m not electronically inclined but if it’s easy I think I can do it. Also if I open it up should I replace anything else while open? The piece is preety old. I traded someone on CL and they didn’t tell me it was not working correctly
. I also called a electronics repair shop and they said it would be 250 to take a look at it. That’s unfortunately out of my budget currently.
