I think the B3 dual capsule would be the nicest for DIY. The B series is not quite as (overly) bright as the C series and is cheaper, too.
The C4 small diaphragm capsules are very nice. I think they're about my favorite chinese capsules large or small. Very linear, tight polar pattern. I'd like to build a multipattern SD mic like the KM86, whose dual capsule is really just two KM84 capsules back to back at short distance.
