hey guys,

incase I might have missed a source... im trying to locate wedge based led lamp replacements for a desk... 28V white.... frosted white would be better..

anyhow the best price I found so far is a little over $5 each... considering I need almost 300 of them even a $1 differential would be substantial...

I checked... the common places.. newark, digi-key, allied, mouser

the best price I found so far is a place called goodmart

any sources someone in here might know of?

free shipping - low minimum orders, send them an email - see if they can help

otherwise it's looking around car accessory places - as these led's seem to be found in dashboards as well

This may be less than no help....

I've replaced the blown wedge-base bulbs with an LED and series resistor by taking out the old bulb and soldering in the LED and resistor to the wedge contacts.

With a higher voltage bulb like your app (28V) the resistor gets a bit large and won't fit in. So I placed the resistor outside the lampholder or used a JFET current source (source-gate connected or resistor connected between the two pins)

Just a DIY approach- I couldn't justify the >£5 per lamp costs at the time!!
