Please post any experiences about using mumetal or another type of irons in mic input transformers (1:10) shielding.
Can I use cooper or any combination of irons for 30dB shielding like mumetal ?.
Thanks !

cooper is usable just for electric fields not magnetic field.

a ferromagnetic metal should work for shield magnetic field but you will need more than one box to get 30db of attenuation.

Maybe I can try with M6 ...
Acceptable performance with simple iron 1.2mm, external psu. No noise tested with headphones. Tomorrow I will test in studio.

Dan, if you are after you PhD on shielding, I just stuck some referance books up at the tyransformer meta, namely Modern Magneticv something or otjher and Grossner.
