I'm curious if anyone have info about the optocoupler used in the AM2B compresor. In the component list it looks like VTL2C2. It doesn't look like a current product.
What time constants it has? Which current Vactrol would be a good substitute? Anyone managed to do some tests?

Hi Chris
I used a modern VTL5C2 when repairing one of these that had a dead opto and it seems to match the other one of the pair that was running a original VTL2C2. THe VTL2C2 looks like a TO5 metal can. The VTL5C2 is the one that Manley use in there Voxbox and Elop comp/limiter.

Thank you Joe

This was the answer I was hoping to receive. I have 16 VTL5C2 I bought for some ELOP/LA2A variation experiments. This is good news because that is one more circuit to experiment with.
