No doubt his "legacy" will be remembered and felt for a looong time.

In a meantime:

I'll be long gone before some smart person ever figures out what happened inside this Oval Office."—Washington, D.C., May 12, 2008

Yep. That's my favourite too.
I fell on the floor laughing when I read it.

My nephew gave me a book of Bush-isms for Christmas a few years ago.
At first it's unbelievable that he really said those things - let alone thought them up, but then frightening to think that this man had his finger on the nuke button!

Has anyone seen the Oliver Stone movie ?
It's got to be chock-a-block with these gaffs.

Personal opinions aside regarding his policies etc, looking at some of the gaffs made, some of them really look like a word placement problem, rather than just plain dumbness.

Is there any information on the guy being dyslexic or something?

As much as I feel that during his 8yrs many blunders and bad things did happen on his watch, you can also say he was the downfall of the Republican party (I dont see anyone voting for those fools unless Obama does worse than Bush)

But for being the arse that he is at least he had a sense of humour, imagine if Cheney was president how awful would of that been?

The irony is for gong down in history one of the worst US presidents of all time but yet so many people seemed to like Bush while well aware of how terrible of a job he did as president. A likeable screwup perhaps??
