How about even distribution of the magnetic field...scatter winding is questionable in my mind's eye. To avoid all confusion I'm only open to input transformer subs. Ratio will remain the same since this thing has lots of gain.
Ok, I see. I'm just too used to Lundahl stuff, and they place insulation foil between every layer. I make my EQ coils basically in the same way (with paper every two layers) and sure it helps to keep capacitance down. So I just couldn't see the connection to scatter winding. I agree with you about it.
