Stupid thoughts are more likely to cause brain cancer than using a mobile phone.

I would be OK with a warning that cellphones "may" cause cancer, if they put similar warnings on twinkies, and bon bons...

Cancer has complex etiology but insult from RF heating is not out of the question. Likewise a positive energy balance promotes growth, making cancer statistically more likely.

To be fair. life causes cancer.. and then we die...

The thought that low power RF in the 1-2GHZ range would cause cancer is ludicrous.

Your microwave oven works in the mid 2ghz range and it has to focus and blast 800+ watts into something just to warm the water molecules.

If saying cell phone RF has any energy potential to cause cancer that's the same as saying that IR/white light should have enough energy to give you cancer too because it's higher energy, but it doesn't.  It doesn't because it doesn't have the energy required to break DNA strands.  IR has enough energy to heat the skin but that's all.  RF doesn't even have that unless you really apply a lot of power.  Far UV(B and C) has enough to knock out DNA sequences and potentially cause cancer though but that is MUCH higher energy than RF.

Even the transmissions from a cell tower are very small.  You are talking about somewhere around 5W per transceiver MAX.  even less RMS power because it's bursting data.  150 feet below the tower, you won't be getting much more than normal background radiation.  Even if you were in the line of sight, you wouldn't be getting that much power.  Certainly not enough to feel, nor nearly enough to damage DNA.
