  the military does use subsonics. They use underwater transducers to prevent frogmen approaching submarines. Hill Audio used to build special 3000 watt amps for the mod if I recall correctly . . . . ssh . . . perhaps I am not allowed to say that . . . .


  dunno what the effect of the subsonics is exactly, but I think it is a bit more than inducing a bowel movement . . . .

That's still different to the "brown note". You body resonates like a piece of meat in a boiling pot and pushes all air out of the lungs. Can't breathe.
 
There are high SPL weapons as well, which emit levels that deafen and confuse the mind, without destroying infrastructure.  Incoming troops then get their pick of undamaged property for field headquarters.
