FWIW some of us recall designing before we had TL07x and NE553x in our tool kit. Since audio hasn't gotten any faster over the decades, once the parts get more than fast enough, improvements on top of that are less impressive.
Don't get me wrong, there is probably room to improve around the heavy lifting points (sum amp, mic pre, etc), when newer parts could probably help, but for general audio paths using those modern speed parts should be dominated by physical layout and design details.
