Frank [www.frontpanels.de] and me are playing with ideas for a 1U, 2 Slot GDIY51X Rack, I call it GDIY502 8)
It was a lot of fun doing some PCBs for his great new standard Rack System.
The small (but beefy) PSU is standard, based on LM317 / LM337 for +/- 16 and 24V, and a voltage doubler and TL783 (or LM317) for Phantom Power. You can leave out the parts for 24V if you want VPR only, or 16V if you only need 24V, etc.
However, it needs at least 22V AC - and here I'm stuck a little bit.
While I'm not aware of any module drawing the 110mA on EACH rail I would like to have this, resulting in a 25VA transformer.
Hard to find fitting in a 1U case.
For sure I can always have one done by Mr. Rondo Müller, however, an off the shelf part for this would be more comfortable.
While hard to find too, would a 24V AC Wallwart be an option?
Any ideas or suggestions?
Some pics of the prototype finished yesterday, using a way oversized PSU transformer we use in the Floor Box PSU for 11 Slots (and more).
