where did you locate that one?

not many of those on the used market :\
We didn't buy the console thru any brooker, so it didn't hit the used market.
The console has a great history. It was bought in 1998 by Skywalker Sound, they used it in their main scoring studio. Skywalker recorded Star Wars Episode 1 and Jurassic Park III among others on this particular console. In 2001 Skywalker upgraded to a Neve 88R. In December 2003, Neve sold the console to Technicolor in Bangkok who we then bought the console from last week. It costed an amazing $900,000 new

The console is in sucha great condition it's ridiculous, looks freakin' new.... we will begin the installation in April...
what happens to the Harrison?
I sold it to the guys who took over my old place. The Neve VXS will replace a Euphonix CS-3000. Wanna buy??

At the studio I used to work in we had a CS2000 w' factory upgraded inners to CS3000 but with the 2000 control surface (ugly cheap feeling plastic top faders...) Not a very erganomic desk but it did sound good. Good EQ and dynamics, and once you got used to mixing in the middle of the console, and got into the grouping & automation an incredibly powerful desk. It got hacked out of the studio when everything went bad and the administrators were brought in. I mean they literally hacked out the patch bays, the control surface & the processing towers. They left a lot of cable!! It was going to some mystery client in Taiwan.... I'd hate to be the tech that had to rewire it all -4 line inputs, 2 mic inputs, 4 line outputs per channel strip & 48 channels with a bunch of groups/auxes and the optional bussing "Cube". That's a hell of a lot of coffee/beer to ge through!
