Have a hunt around the www.thatcorp.com site, they have a really good applications section. If I am not mistaken, they have one design with switchable hard/soft knee.

It looks like the big difference is an additional diode for soft knee. :?:
yes. a slightly current dependent forward voltage drop..

...just curious...does anyone feel like a hard/soft knee switch is of any use? Most of the time I feel like it's just a gimmick thrown in because it's easy to implement; especially on cheaper dbx or b'er stuff.
