What is proper wiring for a TS 1/4 inch female switching or normal connector"

I would like to wire up a ¼" female Switchcraft model 12A connector a project box to a high impedance input located on my Hammond CV organ's AO-29 preamp. What is the proper what to solder this "shorted" connector? The short is normalled on the tip connector. Can someone please explain?

Thanks! I wasn't sure if there was NC on the tip shunt connector.
