looking for some  suggestions for tubing the following

Lundahl ll1538XL
LL 1538xl, wired 1:5, into a grounded plate/suppressor grid 7543.
could be a decent front end for a mic preamp.

I made a big typo, typing mistake due to a faulty keyboard....

I am looking for substitutions.  yes the 1538 is a nice 1:5 step transformer, but looking for other 1:5 step ups. same with the ll1517....

Anything specific? (Lundahl have a few that can be used in place of LL1517 but are you looking for something other than lundahl?). Does it have to be the same/similar size?

Well since  the circuit boards are not laid out yet  seeing what could go in place of those... hopefully something readily available in the U.S.

Hey pucho, I looked through  what I have and found the following 1:5 inputs, which are all still readily available in the US:

Cinemag CMMI-5C (150:3750 - not 600 ohm primary, but not sure of your application)
Cinemag CM-2560 (600:14.5k (also 150 pri)
Edcor MXcs 1:5
Jensen JT-13k7-A (also 150:3750)

As far as the 1517 goes, there are so many 1:1s with split windings I'll have to take some more time to look through them.

that is a huge help...  totally was not thinking edcore.  can't wait to see what you list for 1517 substitutions.
