Looking for mechanical details of the Neve LO1173. This is the slim output transformer they used in their 35mm wide modules. I am particularly interested in the exact laminations and bobbins they used.

Cheers

Hi Ian,

I opened one of my 3104 today (1.25"/31.75mm module).  The LO1173 measures 2.25"/57.25mm wide, 1.89"/48mm deep, and the lams are 0.5"/12.5mm thick.

Thanks Mike, that is exactly what I wanted to know. The core I am using for the prototype output transformer for my 35mm module has lams which are about 42mm wide,  35mm deep and 15mm tick. So they are marginally thicker but I expect the cross section area is about the same. The Neve lams are taller/wider which means room for more turns on the bobbin or same turns but thicker wire. Time now to peruse some catalogues.

Cheers

Ian
