Id love some straight to the point info. on where using high quality caps actually matters, and where it dosent.

For example, I presume coupling/de-coupling is one place it WOULD matter...

What about Cathode Shunting...

What about EQ sections (like a low cut for example)

DC Blocking...

inputs/outputs..

I see alot of talk about what cap is best, but I havent been able to find much info on where in the given circuit it is worth going the extra mile with better quality caps. Either Lytics or polypro's etc...

I like the Wima's for equalizers.

For coupling caps, it's plug and play, as I am fortunate enough to have a nice selection to choose from.

People who use lytics for signal passing seem to change their mind every 6 months. This is due to the fact that lytics should be fresh which means buying them is like going to the produce section of your local supermarket. Things change, companies get bought and sold, caps get re-labeled, in short, there never seems to be cap that you can trust year in and year out.
