1/2 watt vs 0.6w resistor

hi guys.
this is a stupid question, but i need a confirmation.

is there any difference between 1/2 watt resistor and 0.6 watt resistor?
it looks small to me, like a 1/4w resistor.
do 0.6w resistors work good in a tube amp?

depends on how much power gets disipated in it...

for most parts of tube amps its o.k (like grids to ground,feedback networks,gain switching) - but in some places (like droper resistor out of the power supply)it will cook fast.
