Just found these:

Looks interesting and the price is good.
They are easy to modify if you need less steps.
The transportation costs for a small order would be significant.
Any thoughts about these?

These look very much like the Chinese ones available in several places:

I suspect most of them are made by Hong Yu Electronics. They even have a PCB mount version:

I have used a couple I got from hi-fi collective. Seem quite robust. Easy to solder too. They sit far enough behind the panel you can place the resistors horizontally towards the front wafer towards to front panel.

Cheers

Ian

Purchased a few of these of evilbay a while ago for  my 2x 4 (ssl9k /api) channel pre's
Work fine so far all good, I dont see any info on the site on shorting or non shorting options.
Did find this audiophile nonsense though.......... ;D

Any audiophool will need this! (With teflon silver plated wire!  ;D )

Thanks for the link Ian. As far as I can see they only have the 12-position version as PCB mounted switch.
I have used the 2x24 switches (from China) in the past, but often I only need 1x24. It seems they are not so common.

I've used several of these "blue" switches with excellent results.  You can even drill a small hole in the nylon, insert a small screw, and have a stop.
YMMV

The only thing I would say against them is the action is a bit clunky. More force required to turn the switch than with Grayhills or ELMAs.

Cheers
