Hi,
i'm Antoine singer and guitarist from Paris France.
I recently had to mod a valve mic ( sct2000) it also the nady 1050 in US.
Bad job, i unfortunatly broke a component wich looklike a resistor (brown, plate 200M)
The problem is that nobody around me and in electronic suppliers in Paris knows this type of component.
They just never saw that ! neither do i !
Can you help me by identify this baby and find it in europe, france ? ( picture below)
Matt at Micpart told me it is a 200M ohms thick film resistor but i can't find it on the internet.
No pic, or any info
Can't find it in Mouser or digi key catalogue
Don't even know the right name in french !!!
If someone can help : what it is exactly ( function also) and where to find this or equivalent.
Thanks guys
Best regards
Antoine

No, you didn't have to do that, and better you shouldn't have done it.

Buy here two of the 100M resistors and solder them in series and you will get 200 MOhm.
https://www.ebay.at/itm/Resistor-of-very-high-value-47M-68M-82M-100M-470M-mega-ohms-M-1G/362144588968?hash=item54517fe4a8:m:mwbcqwG_5-PH3BtxXNpHWow

Wait, better buy ten of them, because when you destroy the 51M resistors too, you can solder 2 of these resistors in parallel and you will have 50 MOhm.

If you don't like this french seller, you can buy such resistors also here:
https://www.ebay.at/itm/VISHAY-DALE-RNX038100MFKEL-RES-METALL-OXID-100MOHM-1-AXIAL/172807533480?hash=item283c21b3a8:g:jX4AAOSwYGFUt4g-

My statement was not meant as a "personal attack" it was meant as an helpful clarification.
(I mean if nobody is standing behind you with a gun and enforcing you to do something, you didn't have to do it, you simply wanted to do it.  And if you destroy something by satisfying your desires, you better shouldn't have done it, because then the mic would still be usable).

Hi Antoine,
You can find 200M thickfilm resistor at Mouser. They have same value and same composition availlable (see ohmite 'mox' series) but different form factor than the one in the picture (axial regular).
This shouldn t be a problem though.
They exist in different tolerance 10,5 or 1% at negligible price variation (3,8 euros) and are in stock.
Be aware than with delivery cost they could cost much more in the end though.
If this is too much maybe go to St Quentin radio ( if they still exist) and ask them for an equivalent resistor,,as long as it is 200M and probably 1/4 what it should work anyway.

Edit: the first link given by analogguru is a trustable well known  french diyer (and specialised in mic ) whose name is B. Loffet ( and he he own an accordion boutique around Lorient) which is quite active in audiofanzine forum by the way. If you don t find what you want contact him directly he may even have 200m resistors not listed there.

You can also use 100M, 150M, 220M, 300M, 330M, 470M instead of 200M. Rather i wouldn't go higher than 470M.
Don't have to connect anything in parallel or in series.
In any case for 51M you can use 10M, 20M, 22M, 30M, 33M etc.
Just what you can buy without a problem.
Ebay link seems to be nice option.
