I have finished the SCA A12 kit and am running a 1973 genuine 2520. I know they are spec'ed at +/-16v but Tim Ryan of SCA suggested that the 2520 would be happy running at +/- 17.4 so that's what I set the voltage regulators at. The preamp sounds utterly fantastic, but I was wondering if I am putting undue stress on the opamps by running at the higher voltage. they are old opamps and I don't know how long they are supposed to last when under exact spec. For now I am way happy with the performance of this beast! What an excellent design!
