I have successfully hot wired an amp card that I make in place of the potted (it's not really potted, it's a PCB with a conformal coating on it) module. This was some very preliminary work for another client (in Toronto, BTW) who had lost an output. I have to get back to that one of these days, but I'm thinking of making a replacement part. Agree with the other comments about the MXP3000, a mostly under-appreciated desk. I also worked on three Westars as a full time studio tech in '89-'91...maybe you have two of them.
