Those meters are actually pretty good, not perfect, but very usable. We have some on order.
 
Yes those behringer seem to be nice as well, i think the sifam meter i showed before is this one if i'm correct

cost more than those behringer, maybe in your design it could still be possible to make our own faceplate if we want that kind of meter, sorry for beeing such an a...ole Peter, now that i think about it maybe those Sifams are about the same anyway...
 
I'm interested in a couple.

Also interested to see how a t4b will physically fit in this format.

Would also like to know what the advantage of having both a t4b and vactrol in this circuit would be? Can't imagine the vactrol would be of much use in comparison to the t4b if this follows the original circuit. Or so I have read.

Just using the EL panel and ldrs.... don't need a big can to keep light out.
Added a vactrol for flavour choice.
