The name "Umbrella Company" makes me think this is one big joke...

On the other hand, my RNDI sounds great and it only takes (a proper) phantom power per channel.
So yeah, could work.
Two transistors in class A from 48v phantom .... can this be done ? marketing BS ?

Back in the 80s I designed a simple JFET buffer into a 1/4" TRS plug. The buffer was powered from phantom power. This was to serve as a flat buffer for guitar or high Z pickups.

I called it a DIC (direct injection cord)... Of course lead guitars tracked flat, are not the best sounding sources.

Isn't this the same as the FetHead and similar pre-preamps?

I mean, two transistors and an input impedance of 56 kOhm?

It just has a 5 m cable. Even the price is similar. So, where's the joke?

I didnt bother clicking ,
The idea in principle seems good ,
modern SMD can pack a lot on a tiny pcb ,
