ADR F601-RS Limiter trouble

Hi,

Limiter trouble

wonder if anyone here can give a little help.
I purchased a ADR F601-RS Superdynamic limiter.
Connected it and no sound, then found out PIN 3 is HOT so changed my insert-cable..still on both channels no sound.
I can see the meter moving and all but nothing comes out.
What am i doing wrong, anyone got an idea ?

If it's balanced transformer out to unbalanced in I believe you need to tie the - side of the secondary to gnd.

It doesn't have the transformers in there, there is a balanced / unbalanced switch inside. Makes no difference.

Schematics for the ADR F760 limiter is published  on the AnalogRules.com website.  I'm not sure how different these limiter units can be?  ADR did not make that many different units.  Maybe it would be worth the look.

The superdynamic limiter is pretty different from the compex era stuff.  It's closest relative is probably the express limiter (same era, also 1ru, same failing soft buttons) but I don't know how much they really share in common.

Do you think the F600 Broadcast limiter from the 70's be a closer match to the F601 Superdynamic?
