AKG D12 in disguise

Hello All.
Anyone have experience with one of these Fender badged D12s? Seems to be identical in every way other than the jointed mic stand mount, XLR cable and maybe the color?

Wow! Never seen or heard of that before. I have seen them branded "Siemens, WSW, Echolette, Norelco and Philips" too, but never that. D12 was made in Austria, Germany and Switzerland and perhaps somewhere else, but that I do not know.

That's a new one on me. Fender did re-brand and sell the DX11 'reverb mic' so I guess they had links with AKG.

That sure is a genuine AKG D12 capsule with trafo. Does it produce a huge bass? if not, it needs service the sooner the better,

So, no prank. It's known as the "Fender F-560". And there is definitely more than one around. It does have an added switch and comes with an unbalanced cable. So it's a special production run for Fender. I've never noticed that switch on the AKG D12.
