thats the semi new(this past year) compressor limiter thatr is from alisis right?
Such a very old thread...I recently bought a used rolling slant rack and the guy threw in one of these Alesis compressors just to get rid of it...
Decided to play around and dig into this thing...
First of all its a very clean compressor...and it uses an Alesis AL3102 microprocessor chip that has its own built in AD/DA...some of the digging I did guys suggested it was only 18 bit, but the spec sheet kinda does not say that...I think the DA is 20 bit...but depending on the way its set up.
Pretty sure its using the a Philips HEF4051 multiplexor/demultiplexer to do some of the control...
Compression is logarithmic...pretty sure they use the same chip in the sister unit the PEQ 450...since it is capable of 100 band stereo EQ...
