Another hello from Los Angeles

Hi, my name is Steve. I have a mix of vintage and modern gear. Synths, drum machines and a little bit of modular. I just like to make music for fun and myself. I've also been collecting records for about 25 years. I don't have any experience with DIY electronics but I definitely want to learn. I've come across a few kits I'd like to build I'm hoping I might be able to get some guidance . I first tried finding someone that can build the kit for me but I haven't had any luck so I found my way here.

Building kits is good because it makes you learn how to identify components and how to solder them, which are the basic steps of practical electronics.
If you're determined, invest in a good soldering station and bench lighting.
