Hi,
Got some spare time in the fall due to hospital treatment and sick leave. Was thinking of ones and for all really learn the theory behind all those DIY project I been building thanks to all the amazing peps on this forum.

The goal is to be learn more electronics theory and on how to calculate. Also get better on be  design and  share some more project in eagle or similar. Need to get more confident around my designs to share them with the DIY community.

So any tips on great online courses or guides for a technical dummies like me? :)

You might find this series of lectures interesting, it covers a lot of electrical engineering concepts.

Online materials aren't that great. You need a good book. The books I geeked out over the most were:

Code:
  [i]Small Signal Audio Design
  Douglas Self

  The Art of Electronics
  Horowitz and Hill

  Designing Valve Preamps
  Merlin Blencowe[/i]

SSAD is essential reading for any DIYEE. TAOE is hardcore but has lots of example circuits with detailed descriptions. DVP has lots of very interesting bits about distortion in tube amps.

Also use LTSpice. Simulations are the best way to really understand how a circuit works.
