Cause I got one here that is scaaaa-rewed.
Seemingly no digital output....and several dead channels.
Ok so no idea what to do about the digital bit, but for the analog stuff I'm willing to take a try. Christ that is one crammed together box, and mostly surface mount.
All voltages from the PS are fine, by lights and measurement. No 'dropped' looking parts, it's in mint shape.
Bouncing ideas off another fellow and he figured maybe the input diodes from someone plugging in with phantom on or a short in an xlr...I think this thing was wired to a patchbay(probably with phantom on some channels) so it could be likely.
The non-working channels are seemingly random: 2, 5, 7, 8.
The limiters work fine on all channels, even on the 'pops and bangs' channel it will limit them. The worst channel is #7, which has lotsa noise and a bass-y 'snow' to the bottom bit of the gain knob that makes me wanna think there is DC on the pot...not sure yet....just getting into it.
Anyways, anyone have a schematic or anything handy in this case?
