But remember that using a Ferrari clutch will not make your car a Ferrari.
 
During the time I was @ AP we used many converts on several family products. PCM78, AD1853, AD1855, CS5396, AD637, AD654, AD1955 & AK5394. The DRIVE & RECOVERY circuit (tricks) support also made improvements.

and don't forget the execution. In my experience small differences in PCB layout can matter to ultimate performance. Some high performance convertors publish preferred layout advice.

Converters also need to be driven from low impedance to deal with input sampling, etc.
