I redrew it for quick, i'm not sure about the hpf, so if someone could check that, would be great.
If hpf is ok, i think you could use that
If you want to tweak low end response, play with C5 value. With 100nF you should get huge difference.

Backing to the main topic, i did (let say) comparison between Fig.2 and Fig.3.
Since it wasn't A/B comparison, i may be wrong, but i think i hear difference in HF response. Even if, it's not such drastic and it may also result from something else.
I think that difference between Fig.1 and Fig.2 is mainly due to higher impedance and lack of capacitor in the path. Still here is  "maybe".
