I found a bunch of these at work...They look like something we all like-but I'm a newbee so are they good for anything? Go to the link and there's a pdf file on it:

Low for 1976. Actually awful low for a $49 part. Today we can do well enough with a $5 part, even a $1 part.

And the input is wierd by modern standards. The "-" should be grounded, or at least a very low-Z connection to ground. Most modern servos expect to be able to float both inputs, or use an inverting connection.

There is also a gain-stability common mode restriction that pretty well ensures crummy noise performance compared to a modern low-offset opamp.

But the real reason you don't want this beast ANYWHERE inside your audio boxes is that it has a 500Hz oscillator inside, which will probably leak 500Hz tones all over your sweet music.

Hollow out the bottom, stick a 5534 or 797 inside.
