I’m planning on picking up a lower priced ADAT eight channel expansion mic preamplifier that I will be able to connect to my Universal Audio Apollo interface.
Although there are lower priced, newer models like the Behringer ADA 8200, the one that I’m looking at is the Art TubeOpto 8.
There isn’t much documentation on the web about this device, but the people who have ended up with it seem to really like the way it sounds. Many of them had suggested replacing the tubes, but I hadn’t found any documentation as to how to do that exactly.
I am hoping that I just open the hood and they will be the first things I see, but if anyone has ever opened one before, I would love any insight and experience that you could share
