bad caps in PCs

FWIW certain PC company seem to have a problem with some electros going bad on the mother board.

I have seen a few that had what looks like the caps marked nichicon HN(M) 1,500uf 6.3V 105C H0334 expand and vent.

I don't think they are real nichicons
The printing is blured on the shrink wrap and comparing them to other nichicon caps the printing does not look right(the name nichicon does not look right).

Anybody else note this?

When the cap heats the plastic sleeve can partially melt and distort the markings. Perhaps you have Itchycon caps instead??

Yea, I've seen that too. Counterfeit parts are a big problem. I know one company that lost maybe 20 or 30 computers that way - about 80% of them. Past warranty, too bad.

My comp is still running fine after I discovered about 8 leaking (expanded, venting whatever) caps a year ago. I think it's cheaper to buy a new motherboard than to replace the 15 caps. I'll just keep my fingers crossed...
