Mine is already broken. Parasitic noises and capsule that pops when I speak into it.
Did you open it to check what could be wrong? Maybe the connection of the capsule to the circuit board is not good, it can be as simple as that.
You need Torx T8 to remove the 3 screws and slide the basket out carefully not to tear the cables and that's it. You can post photos here. They have replacement capsules for sale just in case.
I bought a 5th BFL414 to mike up my drum kit.
The quality control is really bad.
This is the capsule of the last one I received. It has fingerprints on it, you can imagine how it's been handled at the factory :

Would anyone be interested in seeing if we can come up with a mod to have switchable figure 8 on one of these mics?
I was thinking of getting a BaiFei Li V5, they seem to be really smooth and great for vocals.
I understand that you have 2 microphones with 2 capsules, theoretically identical and one of the microphones has a lower output signal.I received 2 x 25mm versions of this mic the other day (already had the 34mm version).
One of the 25mm versions is about 4db lower than the other (noise floor seems about the same though).
I contacted them (Enping Shiyinzhe Electronic Technology Co.) to let let them know about the difference and suggested that they should sell matched pairs. To my surprise, they got straight back to me to say that if I request matched pairs at the time of ordering, they will supply them matched.
Both types are very nice sounding microphones - really amazing value for money. The 25mm has a very nice sound - somewhere between a traditional SDC and LDC.
Any ideas why one mic would be 4db quieter than the other?
