Maiku k47 I think might be a really good option for under 200 euro.I've been thinking of selling my brass-ring K67, since only one side works properly, due to it being used as an announcer mic.
I'd like to get a good K47 instead, but not over 200 Euro.
Is there anything good available, these days?
This is an awesome capsule. I was thinking about recommending this one but I find k47 and M7 capsules a little different. It’s a steal for the money though3u audio M7.
How much is this capsule? How do M7 and K47 differ from your point of view? It’s a steal for the money though
Yes please!Fro strict k47, definetly Maiku is the best k47 value-for-buck copy I've tried, and I've tried a few. What I particularly like about it, is that it has a very smooth, little darker top than the rest in that price range, wich I've personally found somewhat lil' harsy bright (mic parts, etc).
I can make sound test comparison of Maiku K47 and 3U Audio M7 if interested. Have pairs of both installed in heads that I use with Oktava 012 body. They both share the 47 sound footprint, but with small differences. I like them both, couldn't say one is better than other. They are both nice sounding capsules.
That would be very interesting!I can make sound test comparison of Maiku K47 and 3U Audio M7 if interested
I think it’s around $180 including shipping. How much is this capsule? How do M7 and K47 differ from your point of view?
Thanks for info!I think it’s around $180 including shipping.
As far as k47 and M7 differences I hear a difference mostly on how they handle the mids. The k47 emphasizes the area around between 1-3k and M7 roughly an octave above that.

You can only compare in same circuit. I have compared 3u audio M7 to thiersch blue line. The thiersch had a more delicate sound but the 3u audio was smoother in the upper mids and more creamy. The upper mids of the thiersch blue can sound scratchy at times. The 3u audio in my opinion has a more mix ready sound and it’s closer to the smoothness of original m7s.did anyone compare the 3U M7 with a Gefell or Thiersch M7? I have WA47s (3U K47) and UM70s (Gefell and Thiersch M7s) and I don't think they sound anything alike - but they all sound VERY good (think "Neumann")!
Who makes the Maiku k47?
Does anyone know?
What I know is that they are from Switzerland.
