I received a free big muff that had both battery and 9 v jacks ripped off and missing components. I have the entire unit working aside from when I push the button the pedal engages and works fine when I push it again (into bypass mode) it cuts the sound instead of passing the clean signal. Any advice? Ive tried to find schematics but there are so many versions of this pedal.

*Edit* The only thing Im not sure of is On the input jack I have hot tip sleeve ground and nothing on the ring  (but Im not using 9v power just power supply.)

There are so many versions of this pedal, I would build a true bypass for it, guitar players love it, if you don't know about it, look for the millennium circuit, it uses a 2N7000 to activate an LED when it's on, using a DPDT which is much cheaper than 3PDT footswitches. About the input jack, is standard to guitar pedals to use the ring to have the negative side of the battery, so when nothing is plugged in the circuit is off, so you just need to plug your guitar to power it on. The sleeve goes to ground, of course, when a TS plug is inserted into a TRS jack it shorts R and S and light is made. If you are not using the battery then you don't need that, so leave the ring alone. When connected with external power supply there is no reason to make this, since this is for your battery won't waste when you aren't using it, it's expected you turn off the power supply when you are not using it anyway, and you usually let all your pedals plugged in your pedal board so that's it.
