Hi - I'm restoring an AM-3A - the 301 pre/mixer, 307 meter/monitor and the 308 EQs. This unit has 8x 4102 w TF434 xfos, 2x 4302, and 4x4700 each driving a tf392 for output.
I have read several threads and appreciated the notes on the 4102 and may build a out a couple channels w/ additional 4700 + 600/600 for DOs in this rack.
I have found the am-4 docs, but would love to find the complete doc set for the am-3a (or close as possible). While I can find modules, I haven't located the eq's yet.
While it's not a complex unit, it would save some time to directly reference rather than draw out. I'm especially interested in how they drive the and recover the eq portions and will cross reference other offerings they had.
**ok** - While i haven't fully verified the exact values/integration, i can see how they are doing the eq via the AM401 eq schematic on technicalaudio - that's very interesting. I wonder if this is exclusive to Langevin or was it typical for some other manufacturers? I don't recall ever seeing the eq topology - driven from the channel OT and back into the preamp feedback.
Happy to pay for a copy/scans/etc, as i know those things take time, and thanks in advance if anyone is so bored as to comment on my musings.
