Hi Folks,

I just received a B&K 607 tube tester. It is of course a US machine, therefore running on 110V, so I need a step down xformer to run it on 230grid in Europe.

Just what power rating should I go for? I find no info in the manual or on the device.
I doubt this thing will be power hungry, yet still I am uncertain.

Any tips?

It is a One-Tube device.

And it does not work large tubes close to their ratings.

Probably 10 Watts actual consumption. Perhaps 20 Watts allowing for the inefficiency of the many-tapped heater winding. A 100W step-down is very conservative. 50W might be quite ample.
