The AR133 is officially cloned :green:

Wow. Lots of parts.
I guess the small xfmr is for the switcher.
Looks like a lot more than a fet and a transformer.
Probably cheaper to buy one.
I think Musicians Freind has them.

Thanks for the pics!

At least ist cheap to buy the clone

The BSS AR133 is around 133?
And the other one is made by "LD-Systems" called "LD02" costs 29?!

I don't have one of these but from the pictures it looks like the cheaper one has only -20dB attenuation while the other one has -20 and -40dB. (+cheaper components).

They also have a mic called D1057

Where to buy :?:

soundland is like another thomann/musicstore or the manufacturer?
Is this Uli B in disguise?

Will BSS allow this?

You can't compare those two, they're like apples and oranges. The BSS has a nice output xfmr and a DC/DC converter that provides complete galvanic isolation. The LD has no xfmr. Only the plastic looks the same.

Wow! I actually used to scratch build 30 AR116 DI boxes a week for BSS in the early 80's.. mainly pre Green Logo. The AR117 was the phantom addition that fitted in space of the 9v battery. They paid me 2 Quid a go!!! heheheh. but best years of my life! :)

By '86 I had progressed to 5 DPR402's a week!

Just finished a pair of Bo Hansen 1975 DI's and totally love them more.
Still use them today.

I saw this thread today and saw that was started by CJ, I thought “WOW, great news CJ is back”.
Then I opened the thread and realized this thread started in 2006 , ohhh bummer!!
