What is the final output level? Does it pass audio at unity gain? Maybe its a DMM thing?

Jeff, I've been building my second 553F, and I just had a bad thing happen: I was stripping one of the leads on the 1H inductor, and I somehow pulled the wire right out. Is there any way to salvage that part?

Edit: I cut away some tape but I'm not at all confident in my ability to get a lead back on the thing. I bit the bullet and ordered a replacement.
