Hi stitch-o ,
I think it refers to Emitter, Base , Collector  - I have populated a couple of these PCBs but haven't  got an enclosure yet . I just finished two projects and my DIY funds are non-existent right now  :(

derrrrpeederp. makes sense.
Thanks phreaksters!

I found cheapest 1U rack enclosures here in the US:
http://www.circuitspecialists.com/rackmount-enclosure-et135b.html

Im selling stuff to build a pair of these and a pair of the full channels.
Going to get 4 more preamp boards for a total of 8 x A-range micpres including 2 x full channels w EQs.
As much as the repro's look interesting, I've heard the are not in seriously close tolerance with
the originals.
I worked on an A-range and when I saw this project I just about crapped meself with joy.
And the thought of having enough channels to track drums.... 8) :D ;D :'(

I think because the desks were so rare and few people nowadays have had the stunning pleasure of working with them
compared with API and 80 series Neve's, these are still such a stealth quality piece of kit.

Hey guys,

Just wondering if there are any American equivalents of the suggested OP transformer.

Thanks regarddless,

I used some big honkin' JE-11 outputs on my builds.  They sound very nice.
Best,
Bruno2000

Can I bug you for a link to one of those? My dumb a** seems to be incapable of finding a pair with le old google.

Might these work? Unsure of the "FL" version tho...

I used these on my 71X modules

and these

on my 51X version.

Hope this helps.

Hi Kooma,

Which OEP did you use please?

I've got a couple of these that have been sitting around far too long that I might actually get round to building soon. I just can't Justify £140 + shipping for the Sowters at the moment.

iirc. it was OEP A262A3E.

I had all the parts exept those sowters (that are something like 200€ shipped here.)
so I built it like that. will be getting those eventually and I'm sure they are much better
but now I have working preamp waiting for them compared to just pile of parts waiting for them:)

Thanks. I'm in a similar situation, I have pretty much everything else, I'll buy the Sowters at a later date.

Sorry to resurrect this thread back from the death but I can't seem to find my building guide and the links provided do not work anymore: could anybody help me out?  :-[

Hi all, just digging this project out again and finally ordered the input transformers...

Does anyone have a working link to the build docs for this please?
