does any one know how to build a power supply conditioner. Just a thought coz you can pay a fortune for them and i am getting desperate for some clen power in my home studio. I've looked around for schematics and cant find anything. So if any one has any ideas

Hi! I have same problem... Im just starting to search info about to build a power conditioner but have problems finding a more "concret" help. I found John Risch's Web page... he has two links to a DIY AC Power Line Filter & Surge Suppressor and DIY AC Balanced Power, some more interesting links too, but Id like to have more info about what need to do a power conditioner exactly and how it rules. The web of John Risch with the links is
"http://www.geocities.com/jonrisch/index2.htm"
I hope that it helps you... if somebody has more info about power conditioner Id like to know it

check that link out, do you reckon this would be the best sort of thing to do the job

First of all, what makes you think you need a power-conditioner? Don't expect these things to remove hum & buzz in your system. There are better (and perhaps cheaper) ways to solve these.

i have filters with like 5 things plugged in, they do all right but i can still get pops from switches, so a filtyer for each socket seems logical. I luckily dont suffer from hums so much exept for comp monitor vs guitar. A lot of my stuff is digital and i though if there was a way to guild a filter as i buy gear, it would be a good idea. My computer and motu 2408 used to be happy but now the when the graphics move it makes the sound fuzz, i dont expect a conditioner to clear it up but if it keeps pops and spikes from getting to my expensive sensitive gear that must surely be a good thing.

I want it to estavilitze possible high voltage transients, stabilitze it (my AC voltage is a little high) and to be shure that if there is any hum or buzz it is not by AC line. What people use to acomplish that?
