Hi,

I built this circuit,it's my solid state Pultec gain stage Version 2.Power stage is same with V1.But C4 burnt!I can't find anything to fix.Is it bad cap?

V1 working good.I just add another psu and impedance converter circuit.

Can you check please?

Thanks.

Nothing wrong with the schematic!

Yes! I can't find any error,too.

Now i changed cap with the other one.Same value and brand.It didn't burn.Even i waited a long time.And i measured,nothing wrong.

I guess,it was bad cap.

Thanks for your interest and help!

Was the cap that burned installed backwards? If so, that explains why it burned.

that is good advice, especially when the medicine has a, ummm, side effect!

Oh, yeah, looks like the PCB was designed for smaller (physically) caps than what you installed. The caps seem to be sitting on the resistor leads.
