Yes, the patch-bay is ideally suited to this. Indeed I have a Mosses & Mitchell 96-way primed for the job, however, the client wants all switching to be on the console itself with the patch-bay for inserts only.
This C2 has 24 Stereo Mic & 24 Dual Mono channels, 8 Stereo Groups & 4 VCA Groups.
If you really want a C2 again, there will be a 12 channel side-car/console available once this one has been reduced, with a mix-buss card (photo below, designed by Matt Syson) placed in the meter-bridge. This carries a stereo & two mono busses. The interface output card will accept two cards, which will cover the stereo mix & Aux sends. Or do without the mix-cards and use the direct outs for a 12 channel side-car....
