I must have some kind of schematic dyslexia - it seems every project I build is guaranteed to need troubleshooting.  The latest is a Vox wah project - modded off a Moutoulos PCB, true bypass, with variable R7 and C2 installed to nudge the wah's Q shape around.

Here's the board - i've superimposed back over the front to illustrate where the traces go:

And here's the circuit i'm going off - true to the Moutoulos PCB i'm using:

And here's the pedal in question:

The true bypass works, but when engaging the pedal i'm only getting a trickle of signal to pass.  Flicking around the C2 rotary switch seems to do nothing, although toying with the pot-adjustable R7 does shape the note of oscillation.  Transistors are Motorola 2N2222A's which were suggested by other pedal builders to be the best option for this gig - not MPSA18's as listed in the schematic.

If you can see any points of concern i'd be most appreciative if you can point them out.  I just can't see where i've gone wrong.

do a visual first, look for backwards lytics, make sure transistors are in right, look for solder bridges,

if no joy, trace out the complete schemo with a highliter pen, that is a small circuit so it should go fast,

phase 3 would be to check base voltages on transistors, being careful not to short base to collector,
