Ive been thinking about building a simple eq for the 500 series, it has a high frequency selection and a low frequency selection, 6 frequencies for each and a boost/cut knob under each selector knob. This is the schematic i used for a reference.
and i wanted to add in selectable frequencies using a rotary switch, so i came up with something like this (excuse the sloppyness its just for reference)
And my goal for the layout was something like this
my questions are i guess
1. will this design work? Of course the values need to be figured out and tweaked
2. whats the best op amp to accomplish this, maybe a tl072?
3. if i use a transformer to balance the in and out what changes would need to be made to the circuit?
