Capacitor identification problem

I have a condenser that was getting a little noisy so I took a little peak inside and noticed this guy had a lot of crud on it (looked like a corroded battery, definitely shot.) However, I have no idea what most of these numbers means other than 68ufx0 is prolly 68uf (no idea what the x0 part means) and 20v (the 20dc?) Or should I be going off the 146D code?  I attached a pic with all the markings on it.  If anyone can help it would be much appreciated.

sure looks like 68UF 20V polar perhaps made in 1975

What's the worst thing that could happen?  8)
